Overview


We are seeking a highly experienced Systematic Trader to architect and lead a cutting-edge quantitative trading function within Rapid Global Growth (RGG), leveraging unique Artificial Intelligence capabilities.


Based in Dubai, this new initiative is backed by a significant, patient capital base and operates with the focused approach of a private investment office. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build, lead from the front, and innovate in systematic trading.


Reporting directly to the CEO and leading a Quantitative Analyst, you will be central to our strategy. Your role involves translating signals from our proprietary Large Language Model (LLM) technology into high-performance, event-driven trading strategies across commodities and equities. You will be pivotal in defining our quantitative edge and scaling our operational success.

  • Build, Lead & Scale Your Strategic Vision: Assume ownership of an initial $10M+ portfolio with a transparent framework for increased capital allocation linked to performance. Lead and mentor a Quantitative Analyst, establishing a culture of high-performance quantitative research and trading within our new, agile unit.

  • Direct CEO Partnership & Focused Investment Horizon: Collaborate closely with the CEO and CIO within a results-oriented environment that benefits from patient capital and a long-term investment horizon, allowing for strategic development unencumbered by typical external fund pressures.

  • Dedicated & Cutting-Edge Infrastructure: We are committed to investing in and providing the requisite technology, extensive data sets, and high-performance computing resources essential for sophisticated low-latency systematic trading and LLM-driven quantitative research.


Key Responsibilities & Strategic Objectives:


  • Alpha Strategy Development & Execution: Design, implement, rigorously test, and refine systematic trading strategies based on proprietary LLM signals, ensuring robust execution and advanced risk management.

  • Portfolio Management & Strategic Scaling: Actively manage and grow a multi-million dollar systematic portfolio; develop and implement frameworks for allocating and scaling capital effectively based on strategy capacity and performance.

  • Quantitative Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a Quantitative Analyst, guiding advanced quantitative research, statistical model development, and robust backtesting processes.

  • LLM Collaboration & Iterative Optimization: Serve as the key trading domain expert in the continuous feedback loop with our AI/ML development team, enhancing the LLM’s predictive power and the quality of its signal generation.

  • Performance & Risk Oversight Frameworks: Implement and manage comprehensive performance analytics and real-time risk control systems tailored for systematic, high-frequency trading strategies.


Candidate Profile: Required Expertise & Qualifications:


Required (MUST-HAVES):

  • Systematic Trading Mastery: A minimum of 5 years of demonstrable success as a systematic trader (primarily in commodities and/or equities), with a clear and verifiable P&L track record.

  • Deep Algorithmic & HFT Expertise: Proven ability in designing, optimizing, backtesting, and deploying sophisticated algorithms for high-frequency, low-latency trading environments.

  • Strategic Portfolio & Advanced Risk Management: Verifiable experience managing and scaling systematic portfolios of $10M+ (or equivalent) using advanced, dynamic risk management frameworks.

  • Advanced Programming & Quantitative Skills: Fluency in Python, R, or similar languages, applied to complex quantitative research, rigorous statistical analysis, and custom algorithm development.

  • AI/ML Collaboration & Translation: Proven ability to work closely with quantitative researchers or AI/ML teams, translating trading insights into tangible model improvements and signal enhancements.


Preferred (NICE-TO-HAVES):

  • Prior experience in architecting and building out a new trading desk or a novel suite of systematic strategies from inception.

  • Specialized market microstructure knowledge or direct trading experience in energy, agriculture, or specific large-cap global equity sectors.

  • An advanced academic degree (Master’s/PhD) in a quantitative discipline such as Financial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Computer Science.

Why do I have to take an online test if I have the relevant skills and experience?

We want to give every candidate a fast, fair, and prep-free way to get their foot in the door. No worrying if you'll get a response or if your CV even reached the right person. Do well on the test and you'll move on to the next round, guaranteed.
